Bed and Breakfast Portugal - A day in the Garden

27-10-2011 posted by O Tartufo
Also here with us at our Bed and Breakfast in the south of Portugal, the fall announced itself two nights ago with heavy rain and wind. Luckily here near Moncarapacho it was not as bad as in Faro, where the roof of the airport has collapsed. We are glad that the sun is already shining again, so we had time to enjoy a day working in the garden.

Here are some pictures of today!

A Red Star Draceana is a new addition to our garden at our B&B in the Algarve

This Red Star Dracaena feels at home at O Tartufo with its beautiful red leaves

A Jacaranda and a Mediterranean Snowball in our garden at Bed and Breakfast Portugal

At the entrance of the garden we have planted a young Jacaranda tree that will carry purple-blue flowers. Behind it is now a bush with a great name: the Mediterranean Snowball!
The Washingtonian palmboom is pruned and happy again
The Washingtonian palm tree in the courtyard is pruned. Unbelievable how high it is!
This one definitely feels a lot better in the soil than in the pot where it was!

The garden of our B&B in the Algarve looked very different in spring, have a look at:  Spring at O Tartufo
