Welcome to a small tour through our B&B. Entering our Bed and Breakfast you will first walk through our front garden. This large garden has many different tropical plants and flowers and you will find a lot of private spots that have been created for you to enjoy and find a bit of shade in summer
Our Bed and Breakfast has a few different kinds of rooms. On our Rooms and Prices
page you can see what kind of rooms we have, but we thought it might be interesting to take you on a tour!
Upon entering you will find yourself in the large main hallway, which is decorated with original floors and walls.
Immediately on your left is one of our nicest double rooms. This double room with comfortable bed has its own private bathroom in the room. The floor of this room is original like the hallway, but has its own unique pattern and colours. The bathroom is newly built and accessed through an open doorway with a Moorish arch. The walls of the bathroom are in bright colours and you will immediately notice the coloured glass mosaics.
Across from our first room is another double room. This room was used in the past to receive guests and you can immediately see why. The walls still have the original ornaments and the floor has an intricate pattern. We were almost sad that we had to put a double bed on this beautiful floor, but luckily you can still appreciate most of the floor because we chose a relatively high bed. This double room has a shared bathroom. This bathroom is also newly built and is used by a maximum of five guests when our Bed and Breakfast is fully booked.
Walking along the main hallway we come across our third double room. This double room has a private bathroom, which is situated 3 metres outside of the room. Because we are still in the part of the Quinta that was used as a manor for the family, the room has an amazing stucco-like floor with a star in the middle. Like all rooms, the double bed is framed by a large mosquito net. This gives a cosy atmosphere and is useful in late spring when it keeps the few mozzies from disturbing your sleep at our B&B.
Let’s leave the main hallway for now, we will talk about the communal kitchen and roof terrace later on. In the side hallway we have two more rooms, a double room and our single room. These two rooms share the newly built bathroom with the double room in the main hallway. The single room is very light and offers the perfect space for a passing traveller or backpacker. The comfortable new bed ensures a good nights sleep. Many of our guests use this room for an older child or third group member of the holiday.
The double room on the right picture has a window towards the inner courtyard and is decorated with warm colours. Located in the heart of the Quinta it gives the feeling of a home away from home.
Walking through the Breakfast room / Living room, we have reached the inner courtyard. Most people who enter the courtyard have to stop for a second to take it all in. The courtyard is decorated with a host of Moorish details and is home to many exotic plants. At the very back of the courtyard is our largest Washingtonian palm tree.
Situated in the courtyard are our apartment (sleeps three) and two more double rooms that have a private living room each. Let’s start with the apartment which has a private terrace on the courtyard and we think this is one of the best spots to sit during your holiday. The apartment is equipped with a private kitchen and warmly decorated bathroom. Besides a cosy living room there are two bedrooms, a double room and a single room.
On the other end of the green courtyard we have our double rooms with private living rooms. These rooms are ideal for couples that want a bit more space for themselves. There is also a possibility to add an extra bed to bring along a friend or child. Both double rooms have a private bathroom. These two bathrooms are situated 4 metres outside of the rooms. You walk along the huge palm tree and reach your private bathroom in the far corner of the courtyard.
Now we have shown you all our rooms! A nice bonus is that we have a communal kitchen for all our guests. The kitchen is equipped with a hob, an oven, a fridge and everything else you expect to find in a kitchen.
In the kitchen you will also find the stairway leading to our large roof terrace. The roof terrace of more than 100 square metres was one of the main features we have renovated. We have put in a completely new terrace and have equipped the terrace with ceramic lights that give a cosy and romantic atmosphere at night. Because we have spent many nights on this roof terrace we can give you a tip: turn off the lights for once and enjoy the stars!
